Our Team

CEO – James Waweru

James is a global Business & Finance leader with over 31 years experience in leading & managing businesses and especially the Operations and Finance functions, 13 years of which were spent at CFO level at country, division, multi-country or regional level in one of the largest blue chip global MNE with headquarters in UK & Netherlands- Unilever, after having started his career at PwC. James’ 5 of his early years were spent managing Operations including Manufacturing & Plantations and 20+ years in leading Finance & Strategy mostly at senior leadership levels, majority of the latter time partnering CEOs, CMOs, CBDOs and R&D leadership, and working closely with CIOs or managing Information Technology Department, and Chief Legal Officers in diverse cultural settings. He brings very diverse perspectives to business issues.

James led Operations & Finance teams in Kenya and then Finance across Europe, Africa, Middle East and the US. Shortly before shifting his focus to leading his personal business interests in 2017, James led Finance in a profitable 20 country region with turnover of in excess of USD 2 bn p.a and in transforming the Finance function in a 35 country region. As a leader, James is known for steering companies to consistent growth, profit & cash delivery even against steep odds by strategically & operationally driving agility and speed in customer and consumer centric execution, hence revenue, cash generation and cost management models, well balanced with good control and compliance (including tax) strongly reinforced by growing individuals & teams. He is also well-known for turning around ailing businesses and executing in all cases with impeccable integrity & resolve, keeping a level headed sound business judgment under intense pressure.

James graduated with a 1st Class Honours BSc in Electrical Engineering from Nairobi University 28 years ago. He is a qualified and experienced CPA(K) of over 25 years and is a 2003 MBA (Strategy & Finance emphasis) graduate of Warwick Business School, UK with distinction  . He has attended many Leadership development programs facilitated by world leaders in business training including Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and London Business Schools. James’ distinction winning MBA work was a research into business turnaround with a focus on success factors and the discrete stages in the process of turning around a business.

Admin and Communications Officer – Jacqueline Maluki

Jacky joined Stratex Alignment Solutions in 2019.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Busoga University and currently pursuing an M.A in Corporate Communications from Daystar University.

Jacky has served in different capacities in the client relations, customer service and Administration. She has a wealth of experience having worked as a Relationship Management Executive at Controls Group Limited, a global leader in the production of Testing Equipment for the construction industry with a Head Office in Milan and more than 100 dealers and distributors around the world.

Before that, she worked with Ziki Media Group Limited, an advertising agency as an Administration Assistant, attending to the company’s visitors, managing their company page as well as other clients’ social media pages. She was later promoted to a Business Account Manager where she served as the primary point of contact between the company and clients, from consultation through to execution.
